“A blessed little corner of south-west France made up of gently rolling hills, fields of corn and sunflowers, winding roads empty of cars and pretty little towns and villages, where people always have time to talk to you.

It's like an unspoilt Tuscany or Provence, and I'd better shut up now or I'll be responsible for spoiling it.”

Sam Taylor, describing
the Lot-et-Garonne
in 'The Observer'

Amongst all the gites in this wonderfully picturesque area of southwest France "Téoulès Cottage" stands unique. No other holiday property for two offers such intimacy, privacy and luxury.

At Téoulès Cottage you will find yourself centred in a hidden part of France; a picturesque landscape of single-track lanes winding past vineyards, orchards and sunflower fields to beautiful old Bastide villages.

You will be living in a
tastefully renovated 400 year-old farm cottage in this lovely, quiet, virtually undiscovered area of Aquitaine where, some 100 kms south-east of Bordeaux, two of France's principle rivers meet, so giving our "Département" its name - Le Lot-et-Garonne.

Lot-et-Garonne - Tonneins - Story-tellerThe area surrounding Téoulés Cottage is known locally as "Le Pays de Confluence" and is an area of history and discovery.

There is a surprise around almost every corner, over every hill. For example, did you know that Monet found and bought his famous water-lilies here in the Lot-et-Garonne? The nursery where he bought them and had them shipped to Giverny still exists and is just a 'stone's throw' away.

So, why not come to us and discover more places like this - places, vistas and vantage points that you might never find without the helpful and detailed guide notes we provide.

NeracWhy not take some time to explore and enjoy the great food and wine this region has to offer. Meet the charming and incredibly friendly local people. Relax and enjoy yourself in our pleasant garden. Swim, sunbathe or sit with a glass of excellent local wine in the shade of the cottage's hazelnut and poplar trees.

Take an evening stroll in the peace and quiet of our adjoining plum orchard (the fruit of which contributes to the production of the world-famous "Agen" prunes). If you want a self-catering holiday with a difference, staying in high quality accommodation in a beautiful, un-crowded and  unspoilt area of France, then "Téoulès Cottage" offers you a great opportunity
